Amber Grove – Winner of the 2010 Alberta Optometric Assistant of the Year Award

Amber Grove has been recognized as an employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty every day, shows outstanding leadership, and goes the extra mile without being asked. She was selected out of hundreds of optometric assistants throughout the province.

Amber works at our Cochrane location and also helps at the Crowfoot office when needed. She has been with us for 3.5 years, and during this relatively short period of time has achieved status as a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant. She enrolled in the Optician’s program and is now halfway through this course. She is the company Trainer for the pretesting/clinical assistant role at both offices. Her patients and co-workers would describe her as caring and compassionate and always willing to lend a helping hand. She organized a silent auction for the 2009 World Sight Day campaign, a fundraiser we support every year.

On behalf of everyone at Mountain View Optometry, we congratulate Amber on winning the award!
