Cataract surgery wait times vary greatly in Alberta. If you are in a hurry the best option would be to see your eye doctor. He or she should be able to assess the urgency and arrange a consult with a surgeon at the earliest possible opportunity. You could be looking at 4 months to 12 months depending on your situation.

Great article on glaucoma. I can add a P.S. to Dr. Wilk that if he does find a problem, and sends you to Dr. Douglas, the info submitted to Dr. Douglas is VERY complete. Dr. Douglas commented to my husband just recently that he seldom ever gets this much info when a patient is referred. Just ANOTHER great service that Dr Wilk and the very capable staff do to take great care of their patients.

Thanks for your question.
There has been some concern among certain health care practitioners about people taking blood thinners like Warfarin and Coumadin along with omega 3 supplements. This is because of the blood thinning effects of omega 3′s. The concern being that the blood will become “too thin” if taking blood thinning medication AND omega 3 supplements. Some studies done recently though show that this concern may be unfounded. Here’s one
The way we approach it is to prescribe omega 3′s for our patients on blood thinners only with the approval of their physician.
I’m not aware of any negative effects of taking omega 3 with Accupril.

How do these capsules interact with Coumadine or Accupril?
